Changing lineage is disbelief
Hadith 245M
- (كُفْرٌ بامْرِئ ادِّعاءُ نَسَبٍ لا يَعْرِفُه، أو جَحْدُهُ وإن دقَّ) .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is disbelief that a person claims a lineage which he himself does not recognize, or denies any part of (his) lineage, even if it is insignificant."
