Hadith 211
Sayyiduna Abu Burdah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I came to Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: Mother! Narrate to me a hadith that you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). She said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A bird flies according to its destiny (it does not decide anyone's fate)." And he liked good omens.
Hadith 212
Abdullah bin Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not take bad omens or evil augury from anything, but when he intended to appoint someone as an official and send him somewhere, he would ask his name. If he liked the name, he would become happy and signs of happiness would be visible on his face, and if he disliked the name, (signs of dislike) would appear on his face. Similarly, when he entered a village, he would ask its name; if it was a name he liked, he would become happy and signs of cheerfulness would appear, and if it was a name he disliked, signs of dislike would be visible on his face.
Hadith 213
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No disease is contagious, nor is there any evil omen, but I like a good omen."
Hadith 214
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not take good omens nor bad omens, however, he liked a good name.
