Hadith 210
- (طوبَى له، ثم طوبَى له، ثم طوبى له. يعنِي: من آمنَ به - صلى الله عليه وسلم - ولم يَره) .
Sayyiduna Abu Abdur Rahman Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when two riders appeared to us. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw them, he said: "These are two people from Kinda and they belong to the tribe of Madhhij." When they reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), indeed they were men from the tribe of Madhhij. One of them came close to pledge allegiance. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took his hand, he said: O Messenger of Allah! What will a person get who sees you, believes in you, affirms you, and follows you? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Glad tidings are for him." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over him and he stepped back. Then the second one came forward. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took his hand to accept his pledge, he said: O Messenger of Allah! What will a person get who believes in you, affirms you, obeys you, but is not able to see you? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Glad tidings are for him, then glad tidings are for him, then glad tidings are for him." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over his hand and he stepped back.
