Hadith 193
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The lawful is clear and the unlawful is also clear, and between them are some doubtful matters. It is possible that one who falls into them may fall into sin, and whoever avoids them (the doubtful matters) will safeguard his religion more. The example of one who falls into doubtful matters is like a shepherd who grazes his animals around a sanctuary; it is possible that (the animals) may enter (someone else’s field). Every king has a sanctuary, and the sanctuary of Allah the Exalted is the things He has forbidden.”
