Hadith 187
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever possesses three qualities will taste the sweetness and flavor of faith: Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than all else, he loves someone for the sake of Allah and harbors enmity for His sake, and he would prefer to be thrown into a great fire rather than associate partners with Allah the Exalted."
Hadith 188
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Muawiyah Ghazari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever performs these three deeds will taste the sweetness of faith: Whoever worships only Allah, the One Who is truly worthy of worship; pays Zakat with pleasure in his heart, which is obligatory every year; and does not give a very old, sick, diseased, or inferior animal in Zakat. It should be something moderate and average, because Allah Almighty has neither demanded the best nor commanded the worst.” And in another narration: “He purified his soul.” A man asked: How does one purify the soul? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “A person’s knowing that Allah Almighty is with him wherever he is.”
