Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Shuraid bin Suwaid Thaqafi رضي الله عنه says: I said, “O Messenger of Allah! My mother has instructed me to free a slave on her behalf, and I have a slave woman from the land of the Nubi people (located in the southern part of Egypt). (Should I free her?)” The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Call her.” (She was called.) The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم asked her, “Who is your Lord?” She said, “Allah.” The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم asked, “Who am I?” She said, “The Messenger of Allah.” The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “She is a believer; you may free her.”
