Silsilah Sahihah

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) apologized to Abu Bakr regarding Aisha. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not know that Abu Bakr would do what he did in the matter of Aisha (in that gathering). He raised his hand and slapped Aisha, and struck her forcefully on her chest as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) noticed this and said: "Abu Bakr! From now on, I will never apologize to you."
