Remnants of pre-Islamic practices in the Ummah
Hadith 98
- " شعبتان من أمر الجاهلية لا يتركهما الناس أبدا: النياحة والطعن في النسب ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "People will not abandon two practices of the Age of Ignorance: wailing over the dead and casting aspersions on lineage."
