Silsilah Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! My mother has passed away without making a will. If I give charity on her behalf, will it benefit her? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Yes, (but give charity in the form of providing water to people).”
