Silsilah Sahihah

Saeed bin Jubair says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give charity only to those of your own religion." When Allah the Exalted revealed this verse: "It is not upon you to guide them, but Allah guides whom He wills. And whatever good you spend in the way of Allah, its benefit will return to you, and you should spend only seeking Allah's pleasure. And whatever wealth you spend, you will be fully repaid for it." (Surah Al-Baqarah: 272), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give charity to all people of religions."
