Hadith 908

- " ابدأ بمن تعول، والصدقة عن ظهر غنى ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Which charity is the best?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Begin with those whose maintenance is your responsibility, and charity is that after which sufficiency remains."
