Eating on Eid al-Fitr morning is Sunnah
Hadith 902
- (مِنَ السُّنَّةِ أنْ يَطْعَمَ [يومَ الفِطْرِ] قَبْلَ أنْ يَخْرُجَ وَلَوْ بِتَمْرَةٍ) .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says: It is Sunnah to eat something before going out on the day of Eid, even if it is dates.
