Hadith 897

- " كلوه، ومن أكل منكم فلا يقرب هذا المسجد، حتى يذهب ريحه منه ".
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that mention was made of garlic and onion in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). It was said: O Messenger of Allah! Of these, garlic has the strongest smell. Will you declare its consumption unlawful? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You may eat it, but whoever eats it should not come near this mosque until its smell has gone away."
