Hadith 852
- (أفضَلُ الصّومِ: صومُ أخي داود؛ كان يصُومُ يوماً، ويفطرُ يوماً، ولا يفرّ إذا لاقَى) .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The fasts of my brother Dawud (peace be upon him) are the most virtuous; he would fast one day and break the fast the next day, and when he faced the enemy, he would not flee."
