Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a stream of water while riding a mule. The people were fasting and there were many people walking on foot. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Drink.” They began to look at him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Drink, I am the strongest among you.” They again began to look at him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned his back and drank water, then the Companions also drank.
