Praying on a mat
Hadith 791
- (كان يقوم فيصلِّي من الليل [على خمرته] ، (قالت ميمونة رضي الله عنها) وأنا نائمة إلى جنبه، [مفترشة بحذاء مسجد رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم -] ، فإذا سجد أصابني [طرف] ثوبه وأنا حائض) .
The wife of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Lady Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray at night on his mat, and I would be lying beside him, at the place where he prostrated. When he would prostrate, the edge of his garment would touch me, while I was menstruating.
