- " إن الرجل ليصلي ستين سنة وما تقبل له صلاة ولعله يتم الركوع ولا يتم السجود ويتم السجود ولا يتم الركوع ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: On the day of Eid al-Adha, we were sitting in the Eidgah waiting for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace be upon him) arrived, greeted the people with salam, and said: “The first (specific) act of worship on this day is this prayer.” Then he (peace be upon him) moved forward, led the people in two rak‘ahs of prayer, said salam, and turned to face the people while standing. He (peace be upon him) was given a bow or a staff to lean on. Then he (peace be upon him) praised and glorified Allah Almighty, commanded the people regarding some matters, and forbade them from some things.
