Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mihjan bin Adra’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) received news that a certain person was performing long prayers in the mosque. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to him, took hold of his shoulder, and said: “Allah Almighty has preferred ease for this Ummah and disliked hardship (he said this three times), whereas this servant has chosen hardship and abandoned ease.”
