Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah, may Allah be pleased with her): "When you perform circumcision (on a girl), leave some of the skin and do not be excessive in cutting, for this makes the face more beautiful and is more pleasing to the husband."
