Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Jundub bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the people before you, there was a man who was wounded. He became impatient and cut his hand with a knife, and due to the bleeding, he died. Allah the Exalted said: My servant has hastened before Me (i.e., he was not content with My decree and decided for himself), therefore I have made Paradise forbidden for him."
