Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Since the responsibility of blowing the Trumpet was assigned to the angel who will blow it, his gaze has been fixed towards the Throne without blinking, out of fear that he might be commanded (to blow) before his eyelids return after blinking. (Because his eyes have always remained open) his eyes appear like two shining stars."
