Prophet reciting poetry
Hadith 377
- " كان إذا استراث الخبر تمثل فيه ببيت طرفة: ويأتيك بالأخبار من لم تزود ".
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she states that when there was a delay in receiving news, the Prophet would recite this verse of the poet Tarafah (bin Abd Bakr): "The one on whom you have spent nothing will bring the news."
