Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How can I remain happy and content (in this worldly life) when the angel assigned to blow the trumpet has already placed the trumpet to his mouth, has lowered his forehead, and has inclined his ear (awaiting Allah’s command)? Now he is waiting for the order to blow, and (as soon as) the command is given, he will blow it." The Muslims asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What should we say (in this state of anxiety and distress)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Say: Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. We have placed our trust in our Lord, Allah." This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas, Sayyiduna Zayd ibn Arqam, Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik, Sayyiduna Jabir ibn Abdullah, and Sayyiduna Bara' ibn Azib (may Allah be pleased with them).
