- (ليتَ شِعْري! متى تَخْرُجُ نارٌ من اليمن من جبل الوِرَاقِ؛ تضيء منها أعناقُ الإبل بُروكاً بِبُصرى كضَوْءِ النهارِ) .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were returning from a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and we camped at the place of Dhul-Hulaifah. Some people hastened to go towards Madinah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) spent the night there, and we were with him. When morning came, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked about them (i.e., where are they)? It was informed that they had hurried towards Madinah. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "They have hastened towards Madinah and towards women. Soon these people will leave Madinah, even though it would be much better for them." Then he said: "If only I knew, when the fire will emerge from the mountains of Yemen, it will illuminate the necks of the camels sitting in Busra, just as they are seen in the brightness of the day."
