Benefits:

Committing shirk (associating partners) with Allah Almighty is such a heinous and grave crime that forgiveness for its perpetrator has been absolutely negated. Allah Almighty says:

That is, “Allah will never forgive the one who associates partners with Him, but He will forgive whom He wills for anything less than shirk.”

Shirk:

To consider anyone other than Allah as a partner, associate, or shareholder in Allah’s essence, attributes, authority, or rights is shirk. It has seven types:

Legislation and making of religion is the exclusive right of Allah Almighty; associating anyone other than Allah in this right is called «

To consider anyone as a partner in the essence of Allah Almighty, for example, to declare someone as the son of Allah or, in any respect, as a part of His essence.

To associate anyone other than Allah in the attributes of Allah Almighty is called «

Knowledge of the unseen, among other things, is an attribute of Allah Almighty; to consider anyone other than Allah as a partner in this attribute is called «

To include any creature in the worship of Allah Almighty is called «

To hold the belief that in this universe, the will, authority, discretion, and command of anyone other than Allah also have an effect.

Not keeping monotheism (tawhid) in view in one’s customs and continually associating partners and associates with Allah Almighty, for example, giving polytheistic names, swearing oaths by other than Allah, or asking about matters of the unseen.
