Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Abdur Rahman bin Shumasah Mahri says: I was with Muslamah bin Makhlad, and Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) was also present with him. Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Hour will be established upon the worst of people, who will be even worse than the people of Jahiliyyah. Whenever they call upon Allah, Allah will reject their supplication. Meanwhile, Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) came to them. Muslamah said to him: Uqbah! Pay attention to what Abdullah is saying. He said: He has more knowledge than me. I have only heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “A group from my Ummah will continue to fight according to Allah’s command, prevailing over their enemies, and their opponents will not be able to harm them, until the Hour is established and they will remain in that state.” Upon hearing this, Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Yes, (but there is one thing for sure) then Allah will send a wind with the fragrance of musk, which will feel as soft as silk. Every soul in whose heart there is faith equal to a grain will be taken by it, then only the worst people will remain, and upon them the Hour will be established.
