Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, Allah Almighty will bring forth a man from my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection before all of creation. Ninety-nine registers (in which his sins are recorded) will be spread out before him; each register will be as far as the eye can see. Allah Almighty will ask: Do you deny any of these (sins)? Have My recording and guarding angels wronged you in any way? He will say: No, O my Lord! Allah Almighty will ask: Do you have any excuse? He will say: No, O my Lord! Allah Almighty will say: On the contrary, you have one good deed with Us, and today you will not be wronged. Then a slip will be brought out for him, on which «اشهد ان لا اله الا الله وان محمد عبده ورسوله» will be written. Allah Almighty will say to him: Go to the place of the scales. He will say: O Lord, what can this slip do in comparison to these registers? Allah Almighty will say: Today you will not be wronged. Then the ninety-nine registers will be placed on one side of the scale, and the slip on the other side. (As a result) the registers will be lifted up (due to being lighter), and the side with the slip will become heavy. Nothing can outweigh the name of Allah Almighty."
