Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah, the Exalted, gathers the first and the last on the Day of Resurrection, He will come to the believers, and at that time the believers will be on a high place. (The narrators asked ‘Uqbah about the meaning of «کوم», so he explained its meaning as 'a high place.') Allah, the Exalted, will ask: (O believers!) Do you recognize your Lord? They will say: If He introduces Himself, we will recognize Him. Then Allah, the Exalted, will speak to them a second time and will smile before them, (upon seeing this) they will fall down in prostration."
