Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a messenger to an Arab tribe. The narrator of the hadith, Mahdi bin Maymun, did not know the name of this tribe. The people of this tribe abused the messenger and also beat him. When he returned and complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "If you had gone to the people of Oman, they would neither have abused you nor beaten you."
