Virtue of Abu Musa’s (ra) people
Hadith 3468
- لما نزلت هذه الآية: (يا أيها الذين آمنوا من يرتد منكم عن دينه فسوف يأتي الله بقوم يحبهم ويحبونه) ؛ أوْمأ رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - إلى أبي موسى بشيء كان معه، فقال: "هم قوم هذا ") .
Sayyiduna Iyad Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when this verse was revealed: "O you who believe! Whoever among you turns back from his religion, Allah will soon bring a people whom He loves and who love Him." (__QUR_N__: Surah Al-Ma'idah: 54), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed towards Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) with something and said: "These are those people."
