Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that I filled and kept water for ablution (in a vessel) for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was at the house of my maternal aunt Maymunah. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out, he asked: "Who placed the water for ablution?" My aunt said: "O Messenger of Allah! My nephew did." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Grant him understanding in the religion and teach him the interpretation (of the Qur'an)."
