Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) happy and cheerful, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Pray to Allah for me." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Allah! Forgive Aisha's earlier and later sins, and her hidden and open (all) sins." (Out of happiness) Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) began to laugh, so much so that her head fell into the lap of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "Did my supplication make you happy?" She said: "Why should your supplication not make me happy?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By Allah! I make this supplication for my Ummah in every prayer."
