- " اركع ركعتين ولا تعودون لمثل هذا. يعني الإبطاء عن الخطبة. قاله لسليك الغطفاني ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Frequently bear witness to the oneness of Allah, the only true deity, before there comes a barrier between you and Him, and prompt those near death to do so as well."

Benefits:
It is established from various hadiths that the virtues of this phrase are proven, for example: entering Paradise, being freed from Hellfire, being purified from shirk (associating partners with Allah), etc.
In this blessed hadith, it is commanded to frequently mention «أَشْهَدُلَاإِلَهَإِلَّا الله» during one's lifetime, so that a Muslim is not deprived of the immense reward of this remembrance. The second point is that it is not known whether one will have the opportunity to utter the testimony of faith (kalimah shahadah) at the time of death or not; therefore, one should make complete preparation for the Hereafter before death.
Dear readers! You must have observed that many people suddenly meet their end due to accidents or certain illnesses, and some people are dying before our eyes, yet they are not uttering this phrase. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) spoke the truth that one should prepare provisions for the Hereafter before passing through such stages. In the second part of the hadith, it is commanded to prompt the dying person to recite the testimony of the Oneness of Allah (kalimah tawhid).
