Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Haram bin Hakeem narrates from his uncle Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “(Today) you are in a time in which jurists are many and preachers are few, those who ask are few and those who give are many. In this time, action is better than knowledge. But soon a time will come in which jurists will be few and preachers will be many, those who ask will be many and those who give will be few. In that time, knowledge will be better than action.”
