Ali bin Zaid says that some (objectionable) matter regarding the chief of the Ansar reached Mus'ab bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him). He intended to speak harshly to him, but just then, Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived and said to him: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Accept my advice regarding the Ansar Companions; treat those among them who do good with kindness, and pardon those who make mistakes." (Upon hearing this) Sayyiduna Mus'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) threw himself down from his bed, placed his cheek on the ground, and said: The command of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is upon my head and eyes. Then he let the Ansari go.
