Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, who says: I set out from Syria towards Madinah on a Friday. (When I arrived there) I went to Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him. He asked: When did you put on your socks? I said: On Friday. He asked: Have you taken them off? I said: No. He said: You have acted in accordance with the Sunnah.
