Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Muhammad bin Umar Aslami, with his chains of narration, reports from several Companions, some of whose hadith words have become mixed with others, that they said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent our master Abdullah bin Hudhafah Sahmi (may Allah be pleased with him), who was one of the six, to Khosrow to invite him to Islam and also wrote a letter. Abdullah bin Hudhafah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I delivered the letter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to Khosrow, it was read to him, he took the letter and tore it into pieces. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of this situation, he said: "O Allah! Tear his kingdom to pieces." Then Khosrow wrote a letter to Bazan, the governor of Yemen, that he should send two courageous men to the man of Hijaz (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) so that they may inform us of his reality. Bazan sent his chief secretary and another man with his letter. Both of them reached Madinah and gave Bazan's letter to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He smiled and invited them to Islam. At that time, the flesh of their shoulders was trembling. He (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them: "Both of you go today, meet me tomorrow, I will inform you of my intention." When they came the next day, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: "Convey my message to your leader (Bazan) that last night my Lord killed his lord, Khosrow."
