Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Manhal bin Amr narrates from Sayyiduna Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I think that no one has seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as much as I have seen him. Then he mentioned the incident of the child, the incident of the two date-palm trees, and the incident of the camel. Regarding the camel, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What has happened to your camel? It is complaining that you kept making it work the waterwheel for irrigation, and when it became old, you want to slaughter it. Do not slaughter it; leave it among the camels, it will walk around with them."
