Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “Allah the Exalted has said: O son of Adam! As long as you call upon Me and remain hopeful of Me, I will continue to forgive you, whatever your sins may be, and I will not mind. O son of Adam! If your sins reach up to the heights of the sky, then you seek forgiveness from Me, I will forgive you without caring. O son of Adam! If you come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth, and meet Me not associating anything with Me, I will grant you forgiveness as great as that.”
