How to express all creation’s praise of Allah
Hadith 3087
- (من قال إذا أوَى إلى فراشه: الحمد لله الذي كفاني وآواني. الحمد لله الذي أطعمني وسقاني. الحمد لله الذي مَنَّ عليَّ وأفضلَ، اللهم! إنِّي أسألك بعزَّتك أنْ تُنَجِّيَني من النّار؛ فقدْ حَمِدَ الله بجميع محامدِ الخلقِ كلِّهم) .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever lies down on his bed and recites this supplication: All praise is due to Allah who has sufficed me and given me shelter, all praise is due to Allah who has fed me and given me drink, and all praise is due to Allah who has shown kindness and mercy to me. O Allah! I ask You by Your honor to save me from the Fire. Then he has uttered all the praises of Allah that have been described by all creatures."
