It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Lubabah bin Abd al-Mundhir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) intended to enter any village, before entering it he would recite this supplication: "O Allah! Lord of the seven heavens and whatever creatures dwell beneath them! Lord of the seven earths and whatever creatures dwell upon them! Lord of the winds and whatever flies in them! Lord of the devils and those whom they mislead! I ask You for the goodness of this village and the goodness of whatever is in it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this village and the evil of whatever is in it."
