One Thousand Good Deeds Daily
Hadith 2987
- (أيعجزُ أحدُكم أن يكسبَ كلَّ يومٍ ألفَ حسنةٍ؛! فسأله سائلٌ من جُلسائِه: كيف يكسبُ أحدُنا ألف حسنةٍ؟! قال: يسبّحُ مئةَ تسبيحةٍ، فيُكتبُ له ألفُ حسنةٍ، أويُحطُّ عنه ألفُ خطيئةٍ) .
Mus'ab bin Sa'd narrates from his father, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Are you incapable of earning a thousand good deeds every day?" One of those sitting there asked: "How can one do a thousand good deeds?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If someone says «سبحان الله» one hundred times, a thousand good deeds will be written for him or a thousand sins will be forgiven for him."
