Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered to us the Farewell Sermon on the middle day of the Days of Tashreeq and said: "O people! Your Lord is one and your father is one. Be aware! No Arab has any superiority over a non-Arab, nor does any non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab, nor does a red-skinned person have any superiority over a black-skinned person, nor does a black-skinned person have any superiority over a red-skinned person, except by piety. As Allah the Exalted has said: 'Indeed, the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.' Be aware! Have I conveyed (the message of Allah)? They said: O Messenger of Allah! Yes, indeed. Then he said: 'Let those who are present convey these words to those who are absent.'"
