Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to his companions and recited the complete Surah Ar-Rahman before them, and they listened in silence. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I recited this same Surah to the jinn on the night (when I met them), and they responded better than you. Whenever I recited the verse «فَبِأَيِّ آلاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ» 'Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?' they would say: O our Lord! We do not deny any of Your blessings, and for You alone is all praise."
