Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were sitting in the mosque reciting the Noble Qur'an, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came, greeted us with salam, and we replied to his salam. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Learn the Book of Allah, preserve it, and recite it with melody and pleasant voice. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! This Qur'an slips away from the hearts even faster than a camel that is untied from its rope."
