Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul! Allah bestows His mercy only upon the merciful among His servants." He said: Each of us shows mercy. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I do not mean being merciful only to your friend, but you must show mercy to all people."
