It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person lies down on his bed and recites this supplication: There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, sovereignty belongs to Him, all praise is for Him, and He is powerful over everything. There is no power to avoid evil and no strength to do good except by Allah’s help. Allah is pure, all praise is for Him, there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. Then his sins will be forgiven, even if they are as much as the foam of the sea."
