Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abu Burdah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I came to Madinah Munawwarah. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) came to me and asked: Do you know why I have come to you? I said: No. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Whoever wishes to show kindness to his deceased father should fulfill the ties of kinship with his (father’s Islamic) brothers after him." There was brotherhood and love between my father Umar and your father, so I wished to fulfill its requirements.
