Standing Up Out of Respect
Hadith 2839
- " ما كان في الدنيا شخص أحب إليهم رؤية من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وكانوا إذا رأوه لم يقوموا له، لما كانوا يعلمون من كراهيته لذلك ".
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: There was no person in the world more beloved to the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to look at than the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). But when the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) saw him, they would not stand up, because they knew that this was something disliked by him (peace and blessings be upon him).
