Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "A time is near when people will begin to ask each other questions, (they will keep asking), until someone says: Allah created the creation, but who created Allah? When people reach this point, say: «الله أحد، الله الصمد، لم يلد، ولم يولد، ولم يكن له كفوا أحد» 'Allah is One, Allah is Self-Sufficient, He neither begets nor is He begotten, and there is none comparable to Him.' Then spit three times to your left and seek refuge with Allah (the Exalted) from Satan."

Benefits:
The Essence of Allah Ta'ala is from pre-eternity and will remain until post-eternity; He has neither a beginning nor an end. Every single thing in this vast and expansive universe is dependent upon Him for its creation, and He is independent of everyone in every matter.
From the aforementioned ahadith, it is understood that when a question arises in a Muslim’s mind regarding the origin of Allah Ta'ala—whether it is the result of a satanic whisper or a human invention—he should, in response, carry out one of the following three actions:
➊ Recite «آمَنْتُبِاللَّهِوَرُسُلِهِ» (“I believe in Allah and His Messengers”).
➋ Recite «اعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم» and repel such whispers.
➌ Recite «اَللَّهُأَحَدٌ،اللهُالصَّمَدُ،لَمْيَلِدْوَلَمْيُولَدْوَلَمْيَكُنلَّهُكُفُوًاأَحَدٌ.», spit to the left, and then recite «اعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم».
Imam al-Albani rahimahullah writes: These authentic ahadith indicate that whoever is afflicted by a satanic whisper such as the question, “Who created Allah Ta'ala?”, it is necessary for him to refrain from answering it and to be diligent in reciting the supplications mentioned in these ahadith.
The summary of these three ahadith is that he should recite the following supplication (so that all three ahadith are acted upon):
Then spit three times to the left, recite «اعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم», and repel this whisper.
In my opinion, whoever sincerely, in obedience to Allah Ta'ala and His Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, performs these actions will remain protected from such whispers, and Satan will be repelled.
The Prophetic teaching for repelling such whispers is more beneficial than presenting rational arguments in response to this question or engaging in debate and disputation with the opponent, because there is no benefit in discussion and scrutiny in such matters. But it is unfortunate that most Muslims are heedless of these teachings of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
O Muslims! Be alert, recognize the Sunnah of your Prophet, and act upon it, for in this lies your cure and honor. [صحيحه: 118]
These ahadith also prove that it is not necessary to answer every question of the questioner; rather, instead of answering doubtful and complex matters, one should act upon the rulings of the Shari’ah.
